We need a Western Christian Revival and a Western Christian Revival is the thing we need

Plenty of secular people on the Right can diagnose the ills of our civilization, that is - The West, but can offer nothing constructive as a response.

Of course Leftism does not work either, but then Leftism is not intended to work - it is intended to destroy: and that is something which Leftism does extremely efficiently. It is much harder to make than to destroy, and the secular Right wants to make a more effective and efficient state - but humans just aren't set-up to care enough about that goal to make it the basis of a political movement.

My mantra is that the modern problem is motivation-deficiency - and it really ought not to surprise anyone that we are in this situation; considering how much effort has been and is being expended on destroying all the natural motivating instincts, and subverting and dismantling all the traditional motivations.

Effective and robust motivations are not something that can be manufactured and implanted - they must be built on solid foundations. No large scale society has ever held-together for long (more than a couple of generations) without a religion - and not just any religion, because only certain types of religion are effective.

Since religions cannot be manufactured and implemented any more than can motivation, then our choice and task is simple: we must choose a religion from those already in existence - and if we do not, then we will certainly perish from falling-apart.

(Of course if we do choose a religion we may perish anyway, for different reasons - and we will have to live with the religion we choose.)

Since there are only two existing and known-to-be-viable religions to choose from, and Christianity is by far the best suited to our situation in The West - then that is the obvious choice. But

1. It is a fact that mainstream Christianity has been very thoroughly corrupted and weakened at the highest levels and throughout by secular Leftism.

2. That corruption and weakness is something which makes the task much harder and success much less likely. However, accepting those Buts

3. Although corruption and weakness in Christianity are real and relevant; they do not change the nature of the task. The task remains the same. We still need a Western Christian revival, and only a Christian revival will give us what we need.

And this remains true however unlikely we judge the chance of success. It is like sending the One Ring into Mordor to be destroyed in the Cracks of Doom - it was a plan with very little chance of success, but it was the only plan that could achieve the objectives - so that was what had to be done.

We must try to do what must be done; and doing anything else is not just a waste of time but actually reduces the chance of succeeding at what must be done.

Note: The above is a repost from 31st August 2015; forgotten by me and that did not attract any interest at the time; although parts of a sentence survived as a 'meme'. In tracking down the meme I re-read it, and it seemed strikingly relevant to our current situation.

The chances of saving western civilization look slim, but the chance to save your eternal soul is guaranteed if you genuinely, sincerely follow Christ to the best of your ability.

That's not to say I'm indifferent towards western civilization, but what is more important?

The source of demotivation may be a lack of options to expand and explore the world. Western man by nature is an explorer and philosopher. When the modern world was explored thoroughly he realized that this is it and no where left to go, hence space travel. To add to the problem woke culture has permiated the entire world with no escape leaving people with a sense of desperation or entrapment. So we have a desperate world with maddened people. Perhaps space travel is a proxy for finding God and going home.

You wrote "Since there are only two existing and known-to-be-viable religions to choose from..." - what is the other religion?

@jas - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_religious_populations

@ag - The demotivation goes back several generations. I don't think it has anything to do with exploration, since earlier generations often stayed within a small radius, yet were highly motivated compared with now.

A great summing up, and I like the way the flow of your argument makes the conclusion seem inexorable.

I don't think that what "did not attract any interest at the time" has ever been a good gauge to the relative quality of your posts.

I guess Russia has seemed to manage this, at least the beginnings are there....but they did have to reach socio-economic rock bottom first. Or it could be that they have just been very lucky to have the right leadership at the right time...it may or may not happen here.

@jas - I used to hope this was the case; but now I believe that Russia (and China, where I used to see hope from the massive Christian revival)) are all part of the same one-world government system - and for me this was proved by them joining in with the birdemic lies (and China - not sure about Russia - participating in the Event 201 rehearsal plans in 2019).

My current assumption is that the differences between nations are merely quantitative, not qualitative - all nations (and all large institutions - including Christian churches) are now on side with and moving further towards the demonic agenda; but none are now moving towards greater alignment with the side of God and divine creation.

I agree - Certainly the most commented/ viewed posts are not the best, but merely those with the most topical/ political/ gossipy relevance.

Christians today lack moral certainty. They're morally confused. The fake moral imperative of anti-racism has guilt-tripped whites into a state of paralysis. They're literally de-moralized. Without moral certainty, Christians have no clarity, no goal, no incentive, no courage, and no unity. With it they can recognize the true nature of their enemy. Armed with that understanding, Christians will be energized. They'll know exactly who to fight, how to fight, and how to win.

@ML - "Christians today lack moral certainty. "

I would say that Christians are revealed as lacking a moral Core (rather than Certainty) - or, that they are Not Really Christians. That discipleship of Christ which was most entwined with the churches has mostly gone with the corrupting churches - rather than Christ; on the basis of an excuse that nobody *really* believes nowadays (that 'my' church is always, in a mysterious fashion, incorruptible and Always Right).

This is serving as a convenient excuse for spiritual cowardice - as is becoming more obvious by the month.

In 2021 nothing stays the same for more than a few months; in particular, the bad is getting worse with an astonishing acceleration.
