It's a case of turkey's not voting for Christmas.Bruce Charltonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09615189090601688535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683970826895755480.post-47045077229880770372012-03-15T20:03:26.767+00:002012-03-15T20:03:26.767+00:00I started reading Sheldrake around 1990. His work immediately rang true and I have always wondered why it didn't get more attention and traction.Matthew C.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683970826895755480.post-10053209960739505722012-03-13T03:40:09.398+00:002012-03-13T03:40:09.398+00:00BTW from experience I can say that if one does thi...BTW from experience I can say that if one does this:-

"The alternative is, for someone with experience and expertise, too radical to contemplate - to discard everything he 'knows' and re-explain it in terms of fields.

To give-up and start again! "

it is very difficult to go back and re-integrate the causal chain perspective. Just about possible if you have a less-experienced and younger colleague focus on this aspect of things, and use him to keep an eye on the left-hemisphered world so that every now and then one can go back and see what one might be missing.Cantillonbloghttp://cantillonblog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683970826895755480.post-72655766056584573542012-03-13T03:37:42.497+00:002012-03-13T03:37:42.497+00:00This is funnily enough, the only sane way to think...This is funnily enough, the only sane way to think about developments in financial markets and the economy. Most people these days seem to be trapped in a shall we say 'thought prison' that excludes any concept of fields. So when there is a major move in the market, almost nobody sees it coming before it happens.

I first started digging a bit deeper into Sheldrake after somebody else pointed out the connection with financial markets. I corresponded with him directly and he was curious about it, but I don't think anyone else had pointed it out to him before.

Some thoughts in relation to this are posted here:-

http://cantillonblog.com/?p=846Cantillonbloghttp://cantillonblog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683970826895755480.post-11152655150400108802012-03-12T22:21:07.372+00:002012-03-12T22:21:07.372+00:00Dear Bruce,
