1.22 million page views in a week? I don't think so...

One Million pageviews...

The Page Views reported for this blog (by Blogger) have been going crazy over the past few days - officially 400,000 yesterday - the most ever; and 1.22 million in just one week.

Of course, only a very few of these are human beings (maybe one to three thousand a day?); but I just mention this to demonstrate how utterly worthless are these blog metrics in an era of "AI".

They are are probably mostly AI bots parsing your blog content to answer questions from people.

@Derek - I don't really understand what that means; but the cause amounts to more than an almost instant hundredfold-plus increase in PVs - so far.

Face it, Bruce, you're a legend. You've just become famous without setting up a TIKTOK account !

@VF - Ah yes; disciples! Just what I've been striving-for all these years...

Blogger (ie Google) is generally very good at distinguishing between bot traffic and human traffic (their existence depends on it).
More likely is that some very popular blog or publication made reference to this blog, driving up traffic as a result. It happened a few years ago when the very popular German Substack author Eugippius discussed some of Dr. Charlton’s ideas, creating a mini-wave of traffic to this site.
I wonder who was talking about Dr. Charlton this time, to cause such a significant bump?
