Fields and forces, or the gods and angels? Whitehead called them Eternal Objects, and adduced their beauty as the reason of their allure for beings in the process of becoming - the beauty of the Forms being the source of their attraction as final ends. And the Forms converge on angels. Forms don't just float about in some airy fairy Realm. They are first and foremost the forms of their archetypes, which are angels. And there is a whole hierarchy of them. To take the form of man then is to take the form of Adam Kadmon. Everything has a form; so everything has taken the form of some archetype(s) (that may or may not all perfectly agree); so everything has some angels (that may or may not all perfectly agree) in whose life he participates, and who participate in his.

That the angels are the Forms is an idea that goes way, way back. They are the living stones of scripture.

The Place of the Lion was all about this notion. In that novel, the Forms come to life on earth are terrifically dangerous. They devour their partakers. They are not tame lions.

We *will* be possessed by those angels, those forms, that we partake. So we must be careful what we eat, and at whose temple it was sacrificed. Very dangerous to partake a mere angel. Much more dangerous, but ultimately best and safest, to partake of YHWH, their king. Naydler is very keen on Owen Barfield (as well as having been influenced by Steiner), and helped organize a conference on him fairly recently - so there is a convergence here. His collection of essays is about just this. He attributes our blindness to these gods and angels to a shift in consciousness. Going from a hearing dominant consciousness to a sight driven one. It is a wonderful collection of essays. Presumably long term and contingent on the collapse of the western media's dogmatic indoctrination of everyone to ensure that the main strain view is a 'that's just the way it is!' physics-like and abstract bottom line to the so - called "life force."Davidnoreply@blogger.com
