Lifestyle blogging...
In line with the general practice of lifestyle bloggers and social media addicts, I though you would be interested to see a photo of my breakfast (sort of); and perhaps, from now on, I should take a photo of every meal I consume, every cafe or restaurant I happen to visit; so that you can envy me my fun existence, and think I am cool... (i.e. cooler than you).
Because we are both (are we not?) deeply insecure people who require to impress and receive validation from strangers and casual acquaintances and mutually-exploitative 'friends'... who covertly despise us and want nothing more than to see us brought low and publicly humiliated...

ReplyDeletePeanuts and cheese fuel your genius?
ReplyDeleteAssuming this was a bit tongue in cheek, yes, I too do not understand taking a picture of what you're about to stuff in your face and post it for the world to see. Last week I saw it taken to the next logical step - an empty plate of smears and crumbs. You can just imagine what's next...

ReplyDeleteOn a more serious note, cooking may be considered an art and dining may be elevated to a celebration of civilized living. Cooking can be a vehicle for creativity, skill, culture, tradition, family bonding and nurturing. Food is a necessity for life and meal preparation is a necessity for many women. If one has to come up with 3 meals per day 365 days of the year, an abiding interest in food and pride in culinary craftsmanship are perhaps understandable and excusable.
