For the handful of interested readers; I have just posted a new tranche of posts on the blog Bruce Charlton on Music.
I am still emerging, slowly, from some kind of Upper Respiratory Tract illness I picked up when visiting Suffolk recently, and which has demotivated me from musical exploration.
All that I have seriously listened to is a very favourite CD of Michael Tippett's early music for strings, played by Marriner conducting The Academy of St Martin in the Field's which I love more and more every time.
This links with Suffolk; since the Corelli variations was used for the superb background music of the movie of Akenfield.
