Does the fake birdemic prove the truth of Spiritual War; or does the reality of Spiritual War enable us to perceive the fakeness of the birdemic?

In commenting at Francis Berger's blog, I became aware of how often I had done exactly what I perceived that a chap called Edward Curtin had done - which was to infer from the fakeness of the birdemic - which is proved by exposing its multiple, top-to-bottom lies - that we are, indeed, engaged in a spiritual war (a war between God and Satan, good and evil) in which the birdemic is a major tool of the demons.

But the proper way to proceed is starting-from the metaphysical knowledge that this world is the forum of a spiritual war; one side seeking the salvation of Men, and the other side their damnation.

Someone who regards the world in this way is sensitized to discerning the presence in this world of people and institutions who have (usually unwittingly) chosen to serve the side of evil.

Having make such a discernment, it is not at all difficult to see demonic fingerprints all over the birdemic.

The difficulty for so many people is that good and evil aren't clear so millions of ordinary, decent people (decent by conventional standards) are actually on the side of evil. But that is because we now look at good and evil in materialistic terms rather than, as we should, in spiritual terms. Once you start thinking of the material world as a place designed to bring out spiritual choice then everything becomes a lot more obvious.

Most people want to be good but for that to be possible you have to know what good is and for that to be the case the heart must be rightly oriented. Our hearts are not rightly oriented.

@William - "good and evil aren't clear " Absolutely.

Not only are they unclear but have been deliberately confused over several decades. If history had been different people might have had their understanding of good and evil clarified by World War II - but probably because the USSR were supposedly the British/ US 'allies' - despite being worse than the Nazis - so the situation wrt good and evil was utterly confused and only became worse.

Various doctors and scientists are coming forward to reveal the vast scale of the fraud from a materialist perspective. Even though these men and women are likely not aware of the spiritual implications of their revelations, such revelations are nonetheless important if we desire that more Christians be awakened to the war around them, and that more people come to Christ as the enormity of what unfolds overtakes them.

What a strange ending to Western Civilization!
I understand that Bruce considers the Epistles to be of lesser importance than the Fourth Gospel, yet I think it is helpful to meditate on certain of Paul's contributions:

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

Romans 8:35-37

Lean into Christ as never before. Hold fast to the cross

@Nova - I sympathize with your approach - but the thing is that I do not know the competence, motivations or honesty of 'dissident' scientists - except that most of them seem to be on the wrong side. I think it is a mistake to pretend that this is about science, or can/ should be settled by science - because real science is dead and gone. One we have identified a Big Lie, especially a Big Evil Lie, we ought not to be drawn into minute debate over specifics. We must oppose the lie.

"Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? " In a sense, obviously yes - all over the world people have separated themselves from Christ's love; by denying the reality of God and creation - as well as Christ. Paul would have had trouble imagining a world as insanely bad as this one.

Of course, anybody who wants to accept the gift of Jesus Christ can do so in a moment - the problem is that they do not want to (even if they knew that the gift was real; they don't want it).

So it is very easy to be saved, probably never easier - but apparently very few people want to be saved - what most self-identified Christians want is an Antichrist fake Heaven, that is actually Hell.

I'm in accord with you, Bruce.
The insanely large nature and scale of the fraud and lies at all levels finally made me internalize the idea of evil and an unseen spiritual war. Well, it can be seen once one is attuned to its presence. Even the 711 event didn't do it for me, as one could still indulge the fantasy that mere mistake-prone men and women in back rooms could pull off a large scale lie/hoax/fraud/false-flag, etc. But the scale we are dealing with now, to me, implicates unseen forces, as otherwise you couldn't have such a global Big Lie. If the world were normal in a materialistic sense, then some nations or leaders would rebel or revolt. What we are seeing at all levels of society and global governance should show anyone with an open mind that mere, mainly incompetent men couldn't really pull it off without being exposed or brought down by happenstance.

Also, the trajectory of the events of the past few hundred years in terms of drawing men away from God and replacing our spiritual nature with ersatz alternatives has taken a plan that lasts longer than any one human life.

I've found that you cannot use science, even valid published peer-reviewed research, to convince a lie-believer that they've been lied to. Even when they claim to only use science to guide their lives. That is, they reject their own self-professed faith at any moment that the science faith somehow emits a bit of research that contradicts the narrative. Yet they never admit that extra-scientific or spiritual motivations cause this rejection. A very large lack of self-consciousness or ability to instrospect.

@J - "even valid published peer-reviewed research" - I know what you mean, in that what is such people are supposed to believe-in - but that phrase has meant Not science for many years by now. Peer review is a bureaucratic mechanism, and was not a part of science in its golden age.
