Two favourite real-life names...

A Chinese chap, whose post I used to see in the college pigeon-holes, that was called Ivan Ho

A friend of a friend from Yorkshire, whose name was Annette Curtin

Even decades later; these can provoke an inner chuckle.

There was a student at Glasgow in our day called Roland Butter. A young man in London felt a vocation to the priesthood, and became Father Christmas. Another London priest, Father Ball, was inevitably appointed to the Archdiocesan chapter with the title of Canon Ball.

In order for the humor to 'translate', you need to know that each 'word' of the name is a mid-20th century, American slang term for the same particular body part.....My dad (retired after 40 yrs. with the US Postal Service) used to work with a guy named, 'Peter Wang'..
