If you are having trouble commenting on this blog...

Then that would fit with my own experience in trying to comment elsewhere - intermittent and unpredictable failures and deletions...

Maybe this is the beginning of the end?

Alternatively, you could send an e-mail comment, and I will moderate it in the usual way.

Are we being shadowbanned?

All comments seem to be getting through now that I've turned moderation on. At least, no one's contacted me (through my Google-owned email, hmm...) saying otherwise.

Testing to see if my comments disappeared due to a glitch. My apologies if I submitted anything with weird English that did not contribute to the spirit of the discussion.

I haven't been able to comment on your blog for a while from a mobile browser. I think it might be a problem with Google's captcha system. Though not much is missed for the lack of comments...

Bruce,
I never had any problems commenting on this or any other Blogspot blog, with the exception of WJT's blog. You also mentioned that you had trouble commenting on the Forth Gospel blog. One observable difference which the buggy blogs (WJT's main blog and the Fourth Gospel blog) have in common is that the comment form uses the "Embedded Format" instead of the "Full Page" format. I suspect that switching the form settings to the "Full Page" format would solve the problem.

@MA - I hate captcha too - but it kept the spam down. I've switched it off for now. If there is too much spam, I may need to restrict comments to those with google accounts.

So terribly glad I’ve found this blog.
Working my way backwards; learning much.

I've had similar problems in the past. If SK never told me that he tried commenting I never would have known comments weren't going through (I don't get many anyway). These systems are either terribly mismanaged or this is the desired outcome and someone's doing an excellent job. Email groups can avoid these issues but there's going to be some issue anywhere you go. Decentralization seems like the only way forward in this Ahrimanic nightmare.
