Friend of this blog and administrator of the Romantic Christianity aggregator New World Island, David Earle; has made available a plain text (no frills!) version of the Bible in the Authorized Version - and done the same for The Book of Mormon.
For those with an exploratory mind-set; this has a facility for looking at "random" verses from these volumes, and their subdivisions.
Enjoy!

Unfortunately, the version of the Book of Mormon at this site is the 1981/2013 text, with approximately 700 conjectures and many incorrect readings. The critical text has about half as many conjectures and a small number of incorrect readings.
It doesn’t actually appear to be searchable. If you put anything other than a chapter/verse reference in the search bar, it returns a random chapter.
@Wm - I guess that "searchable" was the wrong descriptor for what you are talking about.
Thank you Bruce!
@Ftan - The source I use mostly aligns with the physical copy of the BoM that was given to me by missionaries a few years ago, the edition of which I'm the most familiar with
@Wm - Sorry I should of made that more clear. I will add word/phrase search in the near future
It has a very clean layout and easy navigation. Quite useful, even without a word search function.
@Wm - Good news, it has that now :)
Fantastic. The CJCLDS website's search function is unusable, and I've been looking for a good alternative. If you can add an AND function (so that, for example, searching for god father without quotation makrs will return all verse that contain both of those strings), it'll be just perfect.
