A motivational explanation of "Lawful evil" - and its development into "Chaotic evil"

Lawful evil is totalitarian and systemic evil - its core aim is to create a machine for the corruption and eventual damnation of mankind. 

For this ultimate goal to happen entails the participants foregoing the upfront gratifications of short-termist and purely selfish satisfactions.

Lawful evil embodies some virtues (or partial-virtues), some at-least-somewhat positive values - in service to its long terms goals: values such as obedience, loyalty, hard work, deferred gratification. 

Chaotic evil is (by contrast) short-termist and selfish - but the gratifications it seeks are of a negative kind. 

(In Dungeons and Dragons terminology, the earliest most primitive form evil - coming before Lawful, which comes before Chaotic - is mostly positive in its rewards; and might be termed "Neutral" evil - I mean the evil that seeks short-term selfish gratification of a positively rewarding kind, such as the gratification of greed, lust, excitement, luxury etc.)  

Chaotic evil is therefore spiteful; it seems to harm others more than to benefit itself - or, more exactly, its greatest self-benefit (its greatest pleasure) is the harm of others. 

(The negative gratifications of Chaotic evil are a late corruption of evil; developing after someone has been sated or jaded by positive rewards.) 

Therefore Chaotic evil is primarily motivated by emotions such as resentment, revenge, and sadism. 

Ultimately; both Lawful and Chaotic evil are motivated by hatred of God and divine creation, and indeed anything created or creative. 

Lawful evil will always trend towards Chaotic evil, because Lawful evil entails doing some good in order to achieve a greater evil. 

Therefore, every individual who serves Lawful evil will continually be tempted by the opportunity for "me" to to do immediate evil, here and now; breaking the laws of Lawful evil - instead of putting-off present temptation in order to pursue some delayed overall goal.

So, Lawful evil is intrinsically unstable. 

The closer Lawful evil gets to achieve a system of damnation, the greater the commitment to evil goals of the system participants, and the greater the opportunities for doing evil ahead of time, and reaping the rewards personally rather than vicariously. 

Thus it was that when Lawful evil achieved its goals of a global totalitarian system in 2020, in the birdemic coup; within weeks The System had begun to self-destruct with Chaotic evil - e.g with "MLB" antiracism; and then escalating chaos and wars in many nations and on many fronts. 

Should we be "chaotic good"? Laeth opines

From Laeth:

there's no neutral anymore, and good is no longer lawful, so chaotic good is what we must be.

This puts me in mind of an interesting discussion nearly twenty years ago when "Mencius Moldbug" - i.e. Curtis Yarvin - argued that there the only good was lawful good, and that "chaotic good" was not actually good. 

These  terms derived from the early (but not earliest) versions of Dungeons and Dragons; which have orientation categories of good and evil, chaotic and lawful. 

(There is also a "neutral" - neither good nor evil - orientation, which I cannot make any coherent sense of! In practice it seems to mean a short-termist, self-gratifying form of evil.) 

As I understood him; Moldbug went on (in further essays) to argue that a good society must aim to be lawful, as much as possible, and without compromise...

Consequently - and having got close-to, but decisively rejecting, Trad Roman Catholic Christianity - Moldbug went-on to follow his own logic, and become the technocrat totalitarian-servant of evil that he is today. 

Well, here Laeth argues that good Christians ought to become "chaotic" - because the lawful (in The West, implicitly) is now inverted, hence evil: i.e. the laws, regulations, officialdom, mainstream propaganda etc will, if obeyed, serve the agenda of demonic evil. 

From his other writings I infer that Laeth is not really advocating chaotic behaviour as a goal (if such a thing is even possible!) - since creativity is, for him (as for me), a primary value - and creativity is not chaotic.

Law and chaos are not, for a Christian, the only two and exclusive alternatives; and neither is the ideal a half-way compromise between law and chaos, nor an alternation between them.  

However, I think the sharp-point of this aphorism is to shock us into recognizing that good behaviour will nowadays, in The West, be regarded as at best chaotic; because the coherence of good is not recognizable to the "lawful" mind. 

In other words; anyone whose behaviour is genuinely good, here-and-now and in 2024 - will be regarded as exemplifying and advocating chaos.

When totalitarian evil gets to define "lawful" then anyone good will be, whether they like it or not, regarded as outwith the law - for which Their only word is chaotic... at best; that is when Christian-good is not being regarded as simple evil.   

In truth, the Good Man in 2024 is pursuing good as best he may in the context of a value-inverted world-order - therefore necessarily un-systematically (i.e. un-lawfully), in a spirit of loving creativity. From a mainstream perspective; this will look chaotic, but it ain't! 

(From the long and wordy nature of my unpacking of one sentence, even if I've inferred correctly what Laeth is saying, can be seen the advantages of writing aphoristically!)

Law versus Chaos, and Balance of Things as an alternative modern morality

There is an alternative morality - or anti-morality - that I have come across; and which seems to reflect a genuine modern alternative to the traditional morality of good and evil; this is the idea of a Balance of Things.

The idea is that there is no good and evil - or rather than good is one-sided, and in order for society and a person to be in a proper state, there needs to be a mixture of what-used-to-be called-good with what-used-to-be-called-evil. Both sides (good and evil - light & dark) need to be represented.

I think the idea may have come from Nietzsche, and it was prominent in Jung's ideas about the  light and shadow aspects of a person, the crown of his tree needing support from the roots; the need to know your 'shadow'. acknowledge it, give it its due...

The notion is that personal development, integration or growth, may entail doing things that are 'traditionally' discouraged or forbidden - in the name of Balance.

But the most influential version of this is that there ought to be a balance - both in society and in persons - between order and disorder; between Law and Chaos.

This has become a staple of much modern 'alternative' literature and narrative - I first came across it explicitly in Michael Moorcock's Jerry Cornelius Quartet (published from the nineteen sixties counter culture) and related books - which have a pervasive anti-moral-morality in which nothing is forbidden and anything may be good or necessary, according the the contextual need for 'balance'.

However, although The Balance is supposed to be the goal, in practice chaos is the most positively regarded - presumably because the baseline is seen as the crushing tyranny of Law (The Establishment, The Bourgeoisie).

The same basic idea seems to have received much wider circulation and approval from the Dungeons and Dragons alignments Lawful versus Chaotic , with the implication that a balance of the two is necessary in the desirable society - and again there is a pervasive preference for chaos.

The idea here is that a good character can be either chaotic or lawful (or neutral); and so can an evil character. As such this does not challenge the polarity of good and evil, but in practice the effect has been to popularize the 'chaotic' character whose behaviour, and morality, is unpredictable, may be selfish and short-termist, is unpredictable, unfaithful and random - yet who may nonethless be 'good' in the sense of morally-approved.

The matter of balance was memorably, albeit indirectly, dissected by Mencius Moldbug (the old pseudonym of Curtis Yarvin) when he concluded that there was in reality no such thing as 'chaotic good', and that this idea was subversive of good - especially subversive of the possibility of a good society.

But Moldbug was writing from a secular perspective, and the Law and Order versus Chaos polarity comes from a necessarily secular perspective - in particular it comes from the perspective which sees Law as merely man-made, expedient at best, and often arbitrary and corrupt.

To break Law when Law is considered to be an arbitrary (and to some degree corrupt) system of man-made rules; and to behave in a chaotic fashion can be seen as a necessity - and indeed a matter of freedom.

Even sheer destruction is justifiable, when that which is destroyed has no intrinsic validity, but is just one among many possible and 'equally valid' alternatives.

From such a perspective; Law and order are stasis, and intrinsically totalitarian; The Balance requires destruction in order to achieve dynamism, energy, and to create hope. 'Evil' is a necessary part of 'good'.

At root it is a matter of psychology - Law and Order are seen as merely Weber's Iron Cage of bureaucracy, The System, The Establishment -- rule by the rich and powerful and successfully selfish - in such a context, random acts of defiance, rebellion, destruction - even sheer selfishness, sexuality and greed - become 'desirable'; especially from non-establishment people.

It is as if since there is no intrinsically-good Lawful-order, but only exploitation of one set of humans by another; then 'at least' the 'balance' of perpetual disorder (chaos) gives as many people as possible a chance to take a turn at being the exploiters.

And, this is 'at least' more interesting that a static society of docile rule-followers trudging through futile and meaningless observances that merely serve to justify the status quo.

When order is man-made and for men's purposes, it cannot be more than merely expedient.

As I say, these inferences come from a secular perspective; a world where God is dead, and where psychological satisfactions are the bottom line.

Mencius Moldbug's argument for the superiority of Law over Chaos is utilitarian; that Law is to be preferred over Chaos because a Lawful society allows more people to have more pleasure and to suffer less - especially the latter: Law minimizes human suffering - that is Moldbug's primary argument and assertion.

This perspective has become the basis of the Neo-reactionary movement - the assertion that Order is necessary and Law is good - and the focus is on developing a system which maximizes Law and Order; with society regarded as a problem of engineering (esp. computer engineering), and the task being to engineer an optimal system; (to reiterate) 'optimal' being defined in terms primarily of minimizing human suffering, then secondarily of enabling human fulfillment.

What this or any other secular perspective does not tell us is why the suffering of 'other people', most of whom we do not know or know only via the mass media, ought-to concern us.

(And if it does concern us, why it is not easier to treat that concern rather than treating its cause. So if I am feeling bad because of other people's suffering, maybe I ought to be more selfish and could train myself to be so; or maybe I could take a tranquillizer - then I will no longer feel concerned about other people. Problem solved!)

When social law and order are seen as merely expedients, means to an end, for producing states of mind; why should anybody care about the well-being of 'society' - which is long term, remote and may never happen - when it conflicts with our own happiness (or pleasure, or avoidance of some degree of suffering) immediately and in the short term.

Indeed, it seems to be impossible to operationalize utilitarianism in any objectively valid - or even merely publicly agreed - way, because there is insufficient consensus about measuring and summating the degree of suffering or happiness of other people.

In practice, the ruling elite merely make assertions concerning whose suffering is to be regarded as the most significant and severe; and whose suffering is to be disregarded, minimized or mocked.

These assertions are then coercively-imposed on the population - enforced by laws (such as hate crime legislation), regulations and rules (such as those about equality and diversity), backed by propaganda from the mass media and officialdom.

There is, of course, no secular reason why anybody should care about anything other than their own current state of mind. Life necessarily becomes expediency.

At bottom, Nietzsche and Dostoevsky were correct when they simply observed that in modernity God is Dead, and without God Anything is Permitted. The thesis can be elaborated to any degree desired, but that is the plain fact of the matter.

So the Law versus Chaos distinction should be seen as a false antithesis deriving from secularism. Properly, Law is a means, not an end - and when Law is treated as an end it leads to the demand for Chaos - and the false ethic of goodness as a matter of Balance between Law and Chaos.

Clearly, although Chaos would indeed be evil from a religious perspective, Law would only be good if it was consistent with God's Law. For a Christian, Law and Order that operates (on average, net) to subvert, destroy or invert Christianity - is evil Law and Order. It would be crazy for Christians to support a system of anti-Christian laws merely because they are Laws!

For a Christian, a well-ordered and obedient society which adhered to evil laws would itself be evil. Not wholly evil, of course, because order is a good - but Law is only a partial good, not good-in-itself; but such a society would be mainly evil; and if its Laws were mostly aimed at destruction of good (i.e. destruction of truth/ promotion of untruth; destruction of beauty/ promotion of ugliness; destruction of virtue/ promotion of sin) - then the society would be systematically evil.

This is already, and increasingly, the case.

In sum, religion trumps law; and if this is properly understood, it is not a matter of preference, but a matter of logic.  Law without a basis in religion, Man's Law that is not God's Law, Law as an end-in-iteself is merely arbitrary and expedient - and not necessarily nor always preferable to more-chaos.

(More chaos may lead to a better situation when Law is evil.)

When secular Law becomes oppressive, or itself destructive by subversion and inversion (i.e. the current situation), and a human mind feels crushed and demotivated, then there is compelling reason from the secular perspective not to want 'a bit of chaos', to 'liven things up' and 'give other people - especially, ahem, 'myself ' (i.e. the subjective individual) - a chance'

In sum, the whole Law/ Order versus Chaos/ Revolution analysis is flawed, because secular - and because secular, purposeless. Secularism offers no basis for Law concerning which state of affairs is preferable, or what a desirable 'balance' might be, except for assertions concerning optimal psychological states; and in practice these will be enforced top-down elite preferences concerning the significance of these imputed states of mind, and decisions on whose (supposed) states of mind are primary and whose may be ignored.

Is BRICS the backlash of Lawful Evil?

As The West continues its path of (in Dungeons and Dragons terms) Chaotic Evil  - or what I would term spite-driven Sorathic self-and-other destruction; it seems to me that Lawful Evil (i.e. the Ahrimanic - control-motivated, hence totalitarian and bureaucratic type of evil) is making an attempt at comeback via the now world-dominant BRICS grouping. 

In other words The System ("the Matrix") is doomed to inwardly-driven (and actively-desired) self-destruction, and is already collapsing, in The West; therefore the powers of evil whose strategy is to impose a material mechanism for spiritual damnation, are shifting attention from The West to The Rest. 

Geopolitics is always evil, no matter its explicit purpose. 

While, from the POV of the dominant countries of the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom, BRICS seems to be a means towards the end of national sovereignty and the cultural autonomy in face of a monolithic globalism; the very facts and necessities of any multi-national compromise coalition, continue to push the existing and emerging alliance towards the nature of Lawful Evil. 

This is evidenced by several of the many recent statements of BRICS policy and strategy; which favour UN-type organizations to formulate and enforce "international regulation". 

It therefore seem like the demons of Lawful Evil have abandoned "The West" to the ministrations of Chaotic Evil, and are increasingly directing their main efforts towards "The Rest". 

From a Christian perspective, we are dealing with greater versus lesser evils (at best); therefore there is again the pitfall opening of inducing people actively to support that which is actually-evil, on the basis that it is a different, and maybe less extreme, kind of evil than that which preceded it.  

The danger is that Christians are actively supporting Lawful Evil on the basis that it is possible to be optimistic about its prospects in this-world, here-and-now. 

I suggest that Christians need to be much clearer than they currently seem to be, about the necessity actively to support only that which is Good by motivation and methods - no matter how weak that Good may be in this-worldly terms; and no matter how pessimistic the prospects of Good seem, with things as they currently are.

On the material and earthly level, Christians will inevitably lose - sooner or later; and it is on the spiritual level that are there solid grounds for realistic optimism. 

The grounds of our hope are sure, but Not Of This World. 

Once we have grasped this; then (but only then) can we see and know how such a spiritual and next-worldly expectation, can and will improve things in this mortal life. 

In D&D terms we should eschew not just evil, but the categories of lawful and chaotic, and pursue that which is creative. 

The "necessary evils" of civilization, lead to the ascendancy of chaotic evil (under conditions of modern consciousness)

I am pessimistically convinced that the "chaotic evil*" of the self-imploding Western totalitarian system is going to prevail; and for deep, inescapable reasons. 

If we survey the history of civilizations, it is always apparent that each is characterized by "necessary evils" - most often in the form of human coercion and manipulation. All military and police activities are an example of necessary evils; and all religions include them as well. 

Nonetheless, in the remote past some civilizations (e.g. Ancient Egypt, Eastern Roman "Byzantine" Empire) were intrinsically stable and lasting - although any society can, of course, be overcome by attack from a more powerful external threat.

(The contrast is with civilizations that destroy themselves; whether passively by neglect and/or by stupidity; or - as now - actively, with self-hatred and by value-inversion.)

My understanding is that this multi-generational innate stability of ancient civilizations was made possible by a more groupish form of human consciousness, whereby there was a spontaneous (mostly unconscious) sharing of awareness between people - especially when there were hereditary links. 

In such conditions, it seems that the necessary evils were tolerated long-term for the benefit of the group - such group benefits as civil peace, defence against invasion, stable food supply, greater comfort and convenience; and the consolations and joys of religion.

Necessary evils were tolerated - but more importantly they were constrained, confined, encapsulated; so that the evil did not expand - and destroy the society. 

It is this restriction of necessary evils - preventing their longitudinal increase - that has become impossible in modernity.  

It has always been the case that individuals, especially the most powerful individuals, had to give-up personal gratifications to attain these group benefits. 

This happened in the past (I am suggesting) due to spontaneous and unconscious reasons; sometimes from to genetic relatedness between the rulers and the ruled; and/or from a shared and powerful religion. 

However; human consciousness has changed, and become increasingly more self-aware and individual, especially over the past two-three hundred years. 

So that powerful individuals are now much more aware of their own personal wants and how these conflict with the "good of the group"; more aware of their immediate and certain gratifications and how these differ from long-term probabilistic benefits; and they lack the unconscious and spontaneous sense (and duty) of being immersed inside a valued societal group that would once have constrained such selfishness and short-termism.

In spiritual terms; in the past individual evils were (most of the time) innately restrained by groupishness; whereas with modern consciousness this has ceased to be the case. 

Furthermore, all historical societies functioned "inside" religion: their world view was involuntarily through the lens of religion, which was larger than any individual. 

(This is a generalization - albeit a strong one, But there probably were exceptions, when an individualistic - perhaps psychopathic/ incapable of empathy - individual would act with increased selfishness and callousness (a.g. Caligula); or would disbelieve the state-religion and therefore broach its restraints - e.g. Some of the perpetrators of the great horrors of history probably ensued, when such a person was in a position of power (e.g. Akhenaten).   

The situation at present is that all the nations and international groupings of the modern world (even the better ones, even the best of them) are totalitarian in nature - which is a kind of "lawful evil"*; and, as such, are net-evil.  

All are societies in which the civilizationally-required elements of "necessary evil" are very strong, and core, and ineradicable.

(Which is why, especially since the 1960s, there has been such a strong counter-cultural tendency - rooted in opposition to the particular necessary evils; but - dishonestly and fatally - without understanding or acknowledging that such evils are inevitable in any possible civilization.) 

Add to this that evil is not static; but tends to feed upon itself and increase - especially when evil is un-repented, as happens (usually) when evils are necessary to continued worldly survival. 

Thus I believe and have often argued that - under modern conditions - lawful evil degenerates inevitably into chaotic evil, due to the (sooner or later) irresistible pressure of increased selfishness and short-termism among those with power. 

I get a strong sense that exactly this is happening - that the agents of lawful evil are progressively weakening, and those of chaotic evil are strengthening, at a world civilizational level; and that will become evident very soon - perhaps within a few days. 

Because of the "compromises" (i.e. necessary evils) of modern totalitarianism, and because of the nature of modern consciousness; modern societies cannot hold-the-line at the necessary evils of a nation. The necessary evils will expand, and the goodness will be eroded. 

So; I mean that there will be (under whatever lying disguise, and will the self-blinded collusion of the totalitarian bureaucrats) a major action that will tend to provoke global chaos. 

But if not now then soon - because there are no countervailing material powers that are sufficiently aligned with good, and sufficiently strong/ cohesive, to stop and reverse the waxing trend towards chaos.

Chaotic evil will win, sooner or later: The instability of Rule of Law in the ongoing Totalitarian backlash against Chaos

My understanding of the international scene (which is, in this respect, a macrocosm of what is happening in many individual people); is that most of the populous nations of the world aspire to totalitarianism; but the leadership class of some powerful countries (Western civilization especially) have gone "beyond" totalitarianism - to become dominated by an impulse towards spiteful destruction and the strategic generation of chaos. 

In a nutshell: Chaotic Evil is ascendant, but Lawful Evil is attempting to save the System. 

The System reached its apex in early 2020, with the international Birdemic lockdown - but has been on the defensive ever since. 

Much of this geopolitical backlash focuses upon "Law" - which term here includes all forms of international treaties, contracts, rules, regulations, formal agreements and the like. 

The (Western and "globalist") agents of chaos have abandoned Law and do: whatever they currently want. 

Opportunism, expediency and spiteful-intent are their principles; and the leadership class retrospectively manufacture excuses/ rationales by complexifying/ confusing/ / overwhelming/ boring people. 

Or more often simply ignoring previous agreements and commitments and "changing the subject". 

This is made possible and easy by a combination of the colossal propaganda resources of the Western mass media and social media (long since included in the totalitarian System); operating upon the willing-addiction of the Western populations to mass/ social media. 

Thus in the West; totalitarian structures and processes are used to generate chaos - and to export chaos to the rest of the world.   

  

Against this Chaotic ascendancy (with its inflexion point in summer of 2020) there has been a totalitarian backlash, among the nations and civilizations whose leadership class desire a stable System of population surveillance and control to pursue their various religious-ideological goals. 

These nations are trying to generate a new and international System of Law, plans, treaties, agreements, etc - and these recent Laws are intended to be long-term mutually beneficial (to their leadership classes). 

So - on the face of it, those in favour of Law are pushing-back against the agents of chaos. 

Yet, the gravitational pull is nonetheless towards chaos; because (among such diverse nations and civilizations) there is no coherent basis for these new international Laws except the long-term self interest of the current leadership class, as a whole. 

This "enlightened self-interest" is always under pressure of subversion by internal rivalries within the leadership classes of the nations (encouraged by the external machinations of the agents of chaos and their mass media); and subverted by short-term and individual self-interest - corruption of leaders and factions by immediate temptations such as more-power, opportunities for theft, offers of bribes - and in response to a wide variety of negative threats such as extortion, blackmail, prison, torture, assassination etc.   

Furthermore, the situation of Laws being recent, and the continual revising and adding-to of these Laws - means that there is always the possibility (or likelihood) that todays Laws will sooner or later be superseded by tomorrow's Laws...

And tomorrow's Laws may be made by a different set of people, with different intentions...

We can see this happening already - what what yesterday seemed like solid treaties, agreements, rules; don't actually get implemented today - after circumstances have changed, and obedience has become inconvenient or inexpedient for the currently more powerful side. 

Therefore; the totalitarian backlash attempt to re-impose a stable framework of "Law" seems doomed to fail under present conditions. 

And this failure would be predicted both for international relationships between nations, and also within nations where the interests of bureaucrats and managers come up against the spiteful destructiveness of Chaotic Evil.  

The underlying fact is that Chaotic evil is much easier than Lawful Evil - because destruction is easier than creating. 

And because evil is unstable, and feeds-upon itself...

In a world where the leadership classes and most of the masses have taken the side against God and divine creation; there is consequently an innate tendency towards Chaos - that cannot long be resisted by even the most sincere totalitarian bureaucrats.

Leftist Western supporters of bureaucratic totalitarianism ("knowledge-workers") are One-Step dupes of the Agents of Chaos

Just an observation. 

It is striking that the Leftist Westerners who support the ideals of bureaucratic totalitarianism - I mean mostly those "knowledge-workers" of the managerial, state official, and intellectual-worker class - are operating in a bubble of inverted misconception. 

These folk are passionately committed to institutions such as the UN, WHO, EU, the Left political parties, Environmentalist and other "charity" NGOs with ideals such as diversity and equality. They see themselves as wanting a compassionate and fair society, with utilitarian aims, operated on rational grounds by technical and professional experts (such as themselves). 

Yet they actively support, admire, pin their hopes on the Agents of Chaos - the top leadership class who now control the UN, EU and all the other agencies and groups to whom the Western totalitarians affiliate. 

And the Western knowledge worker class viscerally oppose the global representative of exactly that kind of utilitarian, bureaucratic, legalistic totalitarianism which they so much admire! Especially fearing and hating the Fire Nation to the east of Europe, and the Earth Kingdom of the far east: nations that are (overall) striving to retain and restore a version of the late twentieth century system of international law and relative "toleration" between the nation-powers. 

My interest in this phenomenon is that almost all of the Western knowledge-worker class - e.g. lawyers, academics, religious leaders, teachers, scientists and the multitude of bureaucrats and managers - i.e. those who are, in principle, the most intelligent and "well-informed" of the masses; have been duped into solidly, stubbornly, supporting exactly that ideology of mutually-destructive chaos which aims to wipe-out the entire utilitarian-totalitarian project (starting with its most powerful national advocates). 

The Western knowledge-workers therefore diligently sustain and serve the agenda of those who strategize to destroy everything they most cherish!

In a nutshell; the Western supporters of Lawful Evil, oppose the not-Western supporters of Lawful Evil; while vehemently actively promoting and sustaining the Western agents of Chaotic Evil*. 

I find this fascinating, as a psycho-social phenomenon. I mean, the way that such a large group of people can be so thoroughly brainwashed to work so hard against their own interests**. 

It is a telling example of the domination of One-Step self -interested reasoning I discussed yesterday. 

It is exactly because the Western knowledge-workers are so in-thrall to One-Step reasoning, that they are so pathetically (and indeed despicably) vulnerable to such gross manipulation.

*The situation somewhat resembles that described for Saruman and the Uruk-Hai in the Lord of the Rings.

Saruman represents the Western Agents of Chaos in the leadership class of the West; and the Western knowledge-workers are the Uruk-Hai. 

The Uruk-Hai are presented as law-abiding orc-Men (hybrids specifically bred by Saruman...), who are loyally devoted and obedient to Saruman, who himself spouts a cynically-dishonest rhetoric of fairness, control, order... which cynical rhetoric is taken at face value and believed-in by the Uruk-Hai... 

Meanwhile; Saruman has become a petty, sadistic, spitefully-destructive individual - whose overmastering motivation is increasingly rooted in resentment and fear; and whose primary desire is vengefully to torment and kill his grudge enemies. 

Thus the Lawful Evil of the hard-working and conscientious Uruk-Hai/ Western knowledge-workers are set to work on a campaign of Chaos.

**The same applies mutatis mutandis to (almost) whole nations, such as the entity I have termed CHOAM (word-search it) whose people (it seems to be a large majority of them) are being willingly, indeed enthusiastically (?), led-towards their own descent into chaos and annihilation; under the deceptive rhetoric of of their rulers' pretence to be pursuing increased national power and system-expansion/ -consolidation.   

 

Note: I am presenting this as an observation, and not intending that it be interpreted as a prescription for how the supporters of bureaucratic evil ought more effectively to pursue their self-interest! I do not wish to support either of the main strategies of evil: neither totalitarian nor chaotic. But I believe that we can only avoid being drawn-into supporting one or the other species of evil, by understanding the actual situation - including its wilfully self-blinded and delusional nature. 

Is it more accurate to think of The System (as of 2021) as Fake Ahrimanic?

In the early and middle 20th century; there seems to have been a powerful group of leftist intellectuals and power-seekers who were genuinely Ahrimanic - that is, they were idealists about the idea of a world government running a total System which would provide everybody with a decent standard of living, law and order and peace. 

I was very familiar with this ideology via George Bernard Shaw, who was an active leader of the Fabian Society; devoted to this incremental, democratic type of socialism. It was all about organization and control - a descendent of Weber's 'rational bureaucracy'; in which clear, explicit, coherent rules took the place of individual judgment, laissez faire, irrational superstition (such as religions), and tradition. 

Humans themselves were also to be 'improved' by The System; especially by universal education and eugenics; and by the provision of arts, crafts; and a clean, healthy, attractive, managed environment. 

And this, of course, is a genuinely Ahrimanic materialism; in which humans are conceptualized as cogs or units in a System; and the 'good' of the System is pursued by-means-of the people. Humans are means to a systemic end. 

In the end (as with modern Transhumanism) humans were to be eliminated and replaced by something 'better'. 

In terms of Dungeons and Dragons - this had the alignment of Lawful Evil - its goals were evil (by Christian standards: because against God and divine creation); but the methods to attain The System, and the running of The System itself, were intended to be wholly coherent, ordered, lawful... 

Indeed, most scientists and many other intellectuals were attracted to Fabian-type socialism - with rule in the hands of rational managers, experts, scientists, statisticians etc. (people such as themselves) -  precisely because it seemed by far the most rational and coherent socio-political possibility than rule by an hereditary aristocracy, and money-grubbing merchants and manufacturers... 

My point is that - for a while - this kind of managerial society was (although evil in intent) substantially sincere, rigorous and honest movement. There was some genuine (albeit abstract) altruism, and self-sacrifice, among the advocates. 

And the 'world government' (or 'governance') rhetoric of 2020-1 that we associate with the United Nations/ WHO and the Great Reset is very similar to this old Fabianism. 

But the reality is extremely different. The new Systemic ideal is a fake; and disguises its opposite. Lawful evil has actually been replaced by 'Chaotic Evil' - but without dropping its old 'Lawful' forms. 

For a start it is dishonest - from top to bottom; from the Big Strategic Lies to the dozens of dishonesties (selection, distortion, suppression, exaggeration, non sequitur etc.) that are the minute-by-minute staple diet of all modern organizations in their inner (as well as outer) working.

Secondly it does not even try to be rational, coherent and efficient. 

Thirdly, we are still ruled by the same gang of aristocrats and merchants (often their direct genetic descendants) as for the past several hundred years. And the managers, experts, scientists, statisticians - plus the new class of mega-mass media moguls - are merely bought-and-controlled toadies and lickspittles of this ultra-rich, ultra-powerful, ultra-influential elite. 

Consequently; The System (here and now) is irrational, incoherent, inefficient and increasingly ineffective. 

All the major 'reforms' make these System flaws worse.

And those in-charge Know It.  

In sum - we still have a façade of the same Fabian Socialist Ahrimanic System that was standard in the middle 20th century. It is still the rationale for everything. But nobody now really believes it - we are ruled by nihilists and cynics; by selfish, cynical and strategically destructive individuals. 

(Scratch a 'believer' in modern Leftism, and you will find an employee.)

The old leftist ideals are now just disposable, temporary excuses. Socialism/ Communism plus a bunch of more recent excuses manufactured from feminism, antiracism, sexual revolution, environmentalism and now the pseudo-healthism of the birdemic. 

What we actually have Now - is the remnant of an Ahrimanic System, which is being actively and purposively dismantled by Sorathically-motivated individuals (and the demons behind them) for their own pleasure and profit. 

But mass consent for destruction continues to be manufactured on an ad hoc basis, using 'random', rotating, expedient elements of the old Fabian, Ahrimanic rationale - because because, after all, something must be used to justify the destruction. 

It has become obvious that - so corrupt is the mass population, so lacking in discernment, so lacking in courage and goodness - almost any half-boiled, excuse (no matter how ridiculous, how illogical, how sheerly non-sensical) will be accepted by most of the masses (and the bureaucrats and media drones) as a 'reason' for pursuing system-destruction. 

And this farrago of drivel can later be discarded and something else - almost anything - put in its place. Or it can, at any time, be revived to justify more of the same. Or not... 

Anything goes, in practice. Most people will believe, forget, ignore, or remember anything - to order; so long as a thin top-dressing of Ahrimanic leftism is first applied...

The world, national and major institutional leadership are by-now almost purely selfish and short-termist; are - in truth - almost-wholly-sinfully motivated by pride, resentment, fear, lust and/or despair; but they cynically mask this with the façade of fake Leftism gleaned from communists, socialists, and other radicals of the 20th century. 

The Global Establishment and their servants are (before our very eyes, on a daily basis) purposively dismantling The System for their own profit, pleasure - or mere survival, for a while longer - while tossing-out bits-and-pieces of jumbled, garbled, nonsensical leftism to the masses, under the weary pretense of 'building a better world'. 

The alliance of evil is itself a mere expedient; holding-together loosely for the temporary purpose of looting and sacking the Global System. 

There is constant infighting among them, of course; and this will increase, in a race to the bottom. 

Meanwhile the masses look-on with blank expressions of unthinking stupidity; while their rulers are smashing and stealing The System upon which the lives of seven billion people depend under the tired guise of 'saving the planet', or 'promoting justice and equity', or whatever...

And squabbling over the spoils, under the guise of 'fair redistribution'...

Until the whole thing inevitably comes crashing-down. 

(When exactly? Who knows. But once it starts; it will surely accelerate rapidly and uncontrollably; as failure of the crippled System here causes failures there and there; and so on and so forth.)

Don't fight for Lawful Evil: It's way too late to restore institutional functionality

As I've long been expecting; the globalist totalitarians have belatedly noticed that their decades of escalating imposed institutional destruction, have led to... institutional destruction. 

In other words: supporting Chaotic Evil for three generations creates... more chaos.

So now organizations, corporations, professions... all kinds of social institution; have become dysfunctional. 

They are inefficient, ineffective, do not even have the priority of performing their jobs.

They don't do what is on the tin.

Corporations don't seek profits, charities don't help people (except their managers!), science doesn't try to discover truth, schools an colleges don't try to educate, churches are interested in anything but God, the legal system is hostile to justice, and (most significantly) the military is not bothered about fighting.

The inevitable consequence is that the globalist totalitarians can't progress their evil agendas.

Hence the current Establishment attempts to start trying to rebuild effective institutions - starting with the military.

"They" are attempting to roll-back chaos, and build a System of Lawful Evil - evil that sticks to Their rules, and obeys Their orders.

Is this good news? Is it A Good Thing if the military espouses military values again?

Well, only if you think it is a Good Thing for the totalitarian dictatorship to have a more lethal army, navy and airforce.

If you genuinely want the agents of demonic evil to have better weapons...

But, speaking personally; I don't find this a cause for celebration.

In 2022, Romantic Christians should take care to be on the side of Good - not of 'lesser' evil

It is, in a kind-of sense, 'natural' for human beings to want to be part of human society. 

We are 'social animals' after all - and under ancient conditions Men could not survive alone. Exile meant death.  

The problem is that - for most people, now - there is no human society to be a part of: not really, not by the standards of the past. 

What now masquerades as human society is The System, a global and totalitarian (hence necessarily evil) conglomeration of all the major governments, corporations, financial and social institutions, and the mass media. 

The System has assimilated or destroyed all the large human groupings - including the churches; has infiltrated and subverted even friendships, marriages and families - and therefore there is (for most people, a large majority) no real human society.  

Instead there is just The System, which pretends to be a human society, but is increasingly not even a System. 

Through 2021 I have observed The System becoming nothing-more-than an evolving series of lying excuses for its own ongoing collapse. 

Everything is breaking; and The System is only united in generating fake explanations for this. 

As 2022 approaches, that is - indeed - pretty much all that The System does. The System is consuming-itself - increasingly dominant Sorathic-demonic elements are injecting chaos into the Ahrimanic-demonic bureaucracy.

(Consider the Litmus Test issues. Any supposedly constructive aspects are now swamped by a rising tide of chaos. The birdemic-peck responses have substantially destroyed culture; and are causing mass sickness, poverty and spiritual despair. Antiracism is causing racism, riots, violence and murder - and destroying effectiveness everywhere. The sexual revolution (especially its latest trans manifestation) is ruining all it touches in culture; mutilating and poisoning children, 'gaslighting' the world with mandatory lies and delusions. The climate change fraud is - very rapidly, and accelerating - shrinking and wrecking the world economy. All these core leftist strategies are overwhelmingly net destructive, and on an unprecedented scale. Whatever nonsensical theories are propagated to justify them as positive and necessary; all are in truth gratuitous sabotage.)

The Ahrimanic planners are still intoxicated by their grandiose visions of (allegedly benign!) omni-surveillance and micro-control via a single world bureaucracy (Great Reset, Agenda 2030 etc) - apparently made possible by the international coup of early 2020. 

But in truth The System - its officials and media - is occupied 24/7 in explaining (over-and-again, a new one every day) why nothing works, why harm is healthy, why insanity is common sense, why evil is a higher kind of Good... 

The demons of 'chaotic evil' are winning everywhere; but their 'lawful evil' subordinates are still telling each other (ever louder and more often) that they are on the verge of a final victory. 

How can a (Romantic Christian) - isolated, without reliable support - respond to all this? The answer is - spiritually. By thought, discernment and intent - rather than by some formula of activity that aims to save his nation, or the world. By reliance upon divine providence rather than planning. 

Part of what is needed as the world is being deliberately-collapsed, seems to be restraint; restraint from advocating and defending the lesser evil from the greater: avoiding fighting for The System and against the injectors of chaos. 

This is difficult - because it is - in a material sense - The same System which keeps us alive - and much else. Yet that same System is now (obviously!) net-evil, and dedicated to our damnation by systematic value-inversion. 

We need to do Good, not to empower lesser-evil.

So when your net-evil "Christian" church is collapsing into chaos - you need to ensure that your response is Not one that will simply strengthen the evil-motivated bureaucracy. Same applies to all other social institutions. All are Here-and-Now part of Team-Evil. 

A Christian cannot join Team Evil and stay a Christian. 

This will probably mean more suffering - up-front, rather than delayed. 

But - from here, and with a net-evil world - delay is all that can be achieved; and it is worse-than-folly to sell one's soul merely in hope of avoiding suffering today; when by your actions suffering tomorrow is made more certain and more extreme. 

I believe that a lot of what Christians ought to be doing, is avoiding 'doing' - after all, for many people, what can actively be done at a societal level is very limited - and instead focusing on spiritual discernment, thinking and understanding. 

To see-through the lies and understand the truth is maybe the most valuable thing anyone can do in 2022 - valuable for your own soul, and valuable for the whole world.  

God is in control; but divine providence must have something to work-with! 

God can do more Good with one Good Man - one Man who has consciously chosen to be on the side of Good; than can be done with any number of millions who have taken the side of evil (albeit 'lesser' evil) - and are thereby sustaining the motivations of the devil.

The test of our times: or, what should we do when Sorathic evil is Destroying the Ahrimanic System?

This is perhaps going to be the great test of our times... 

We have an evil, global totalitarian System - encompassing and linking all the major social institutions. This global System is getting more and more aligned to the side of Satan with every passing month - with a mixture of tacit consent and active approval from (it seems) the majority of the population - and only a few spiritually-religious individuals in explicit opposition. 

Yet this evil System is also what keeps us alive. It is getting less and less capable of keeping us alive, as it gets more and more evil - nonetheless the The System is still what maintains us...

But, evil being evil, the Ahrimanic "lawful evil" that wants us all under micro-surveillance and total control; is giving-way to a wholly-negative, Sorathic, "chaotic evil" of each-against-all in short-termist, destruction.

And the great test is when we are in a situation of considering whether to defend the lesser against the greater evil... Should we do it? 

It seems rational to defend the lesser evil? (At least, to some extent.) But is it in practice corrupting? 

All 'viable' options are evil. People start-out recognizing that fact, but in the heat of battle or the routine of work; they 'forget' and become corrupted into supporting the lesser evil.  

Instead of fighting on the side of God and Good in the spiritual war; people find themselves fighting on the side of Ahriman against Sorath - embroiled in civil war among the demons.

That is the test of our times: to fight for Good instead of for the lesser of evils. 

It is the test of salvation.

 

Sensible Dissent is always ignored in these End Times - and should be detected and rejected

What passes for 'dissent' in the modern leftist-bureaucratic mass media/ government/ corporate world is what might be called 'sensible' dissent. This is allowed - up to a point - even in the mass media. 

Sensible Dissenters are the people who allow the validity of the goals - but question the current impatient and irrational means to achieve them: the doctrinaire antiracists who resist MLB; the climate environmentalists who prefer nuclear to wind power; the pro-sexual-revolutionaries who are concerned by 'excesses' such as the micro-aggression movement relating to 'pronouns' and child mutilations from the trans-agenda; those who regard the birdemic as a real plague but want more rigorous testing and phased-introduction of the pecks...

Sensible dissent is where the critic concedes all the Big Lies, but advocates a slow, care-full, cautious approach to policy - something much like what Karl Popper advocated in the form of 'incremental' reform, or 'piecemeal social engineering'. 

This is the modern descendent of the Fabian Socialist approach of non-revolutionary gradualism; by which the end-point is pretty much identical with communism - but is reached by different means. Thus it is not coincidental that the most powerful Popperian in the modern world is the man born as György Schwartz. 

The entire modern world, with its totalitarian global government imposed in early 2020 by an unnoticed "grey-coup", represents the triumph of Fabian Socialism - so it is clear why the allowed dissent is merely the 'sensible', rationalist, more-gradualist side of this tradition. 

Sensible Dissent includes the people who really believe-in the Great Reset; and are (rightly!) fearful of unleashing and unrestrainedly-fueling panic and resentment because it will destroy The System. 

They are 'moderate' but ideological Leftists who want a wholly-materialistic System of omni-surveillance and total-control; and who therefore fear the irrationalism, hatred, spiteful destructiveness and capacity for violence of the angry, impatient extreme Left - whose 'ideals' are wholly negative. 

In this era - Sensible Dissent has near-zero traction - it can be expressed, it can even be 'approved' by those who regard themselves as moderate, decent, sensible; but as of 2020; Sensible Dissent is never attended to, it never makes any difference: Sensible Dissent is always ignored.

This because the SD's share the strategic ideals of the crazy-destructive-left and only differ in terms of the best tactics; Sensible Dissent comes-across as dull, boring, feeble, weakly-motivated Old Men or Women - obsolete, corrupted, part-of-the-problem. 

This is a major reason why the rising generation of most-idealistic Leftists always want every year to be Year Zero - they want to delete The Past and all who defend any aspect of The Past. 

This eliminates effective opposition from the patient-gradualists, and accelerates the dominance of the most impatient and hard-line among the leftist-anti-divine-creation-ists. 

All the Leftist energy and drive nowadays is on the side of the stupid, insane, and frankly-evil individuals and organizations (i.e. Chaotic Evil) - those who demand extreme, uncompromising, reckless Action. Now. Those who regard opponents as enemies and that enemies be eliminated.

Demand therefore that opponents be cancelled, suppressed, outlawed; demand riots, destruction, arson, jailings, killings.

...Demand whatever eliminates fastest.  

Sensible Dissent needs to be detected and rejected by Christians (for example, using the 2020 Litmus Tests as a screen). 

The moderate, rationalist enemy is still The Enemy: they are still following the anti-God, demonic agenda - albeit of the Lawful Evil (Ahrimanic) type. 

They are still aiming at the same end (damnation) albeit by gradualist means.

In these extreme, irrational, insane, Sorathic End Times - when the most extremely-evil enemy are ever-increasingly in the ascendant - Christians need always to pursue The Good; and must not be diverted into pursuing the lesser-evil. Because the lesser evil is just a more gradual, incremental, rational, sensible form of damnation.

If The System of totalitarian materialism in The West collapses into chaos, it does provide the potential (but only the potential) for a resurgence of individual, innate spirituality

It is my impression that, after the recent US election, many who oppose the secular-left totalitarianism have gone somewhat crazy with a kind of desperate-but-misguided optimism.

They believe that things have turned a corner, because the public have discovered a new and positive motivation for a better society.  

But, I think what we are instead witnessing is an acceleration of the inevitable self-destruction of the attempt to create a global System of Satantically-directed self-chosen damnation, via omni-surveillance and micro-control in a context of societal materialism. 

This is a decline, not a rebirth. 

In a nutshell; the intent of the dominant evil faction in the Establishment, was to regulate the material world, perceptual inputs and concepts; in a public sphere which only recognized material reality - excluding all assumptions of God, divine creation, and the realm of the spiritual. 

The plan was: When people were convinced that only the material counts as real; and the material realm was captured by a totalitarian system - then people could be made to think... almost anything; paving the way for that value-inversion that would lead to the evaluation of evil as good, and a positive embrace of damnation and hell.

But evil feeds upon itself, and is fissile by nature; complex strategic plans will break down when the "actors" tasked to implement them instead increasingly pursue selfish and short-termist goals.

So even as The System reached its zenith in early 2020, coming into the open with Their intentions about the Great Reset and Agenda 2030; it was already demonstrating evidence of being subverted and taken-over by the agents of chaos, with the collapse of control, evident from the antiracist mania of summer 2020.

This has continued, until more and more people have begin to notice... The totalitarian bureaucrats are beginning to panic. 

So the currently visibly accelerating collapse of The System is mostly motivated by evil - by spiteful selfishness and the desire for destruction; therefore not by a resurgence of mass goodness; and this change is not therefore, of itself, a cause for celebration...

Except that the removal of The System does remove a powerful and adverse influence. 

Yet this is only a double-negative - the collapse of "lawful evil" due to even-greater but chaotic evil, does not amount to in increase in actual good. 

Therefore; it seems that The System of evil will not - at least in The West be replaced by a System dedicated to Good - and instead a social collapse into greater physical hardship and suffering seems very likely.

However, this collapse does make space for individuals to break free from the manipulative enchantments of The System; and enables a greater possibility that less-systematically-oppressed individuals may choose to recognize and endorse... whatever of innate and intuitive goodness lies within them. 

So greater hope is, as always, reasonable - so long as we are hoping for the right kind of things; which things are "not of this world" - at least not primarily nor directly. 

(Hope for this-world will happen, if it does happen, only after we are become next-worldly.) 

What does it mean to Defeat evil? (Why evil is insatiable, and why success destroys itself.)

In this mortal world, 'evil' as a phenomenon, and evil-affiliated persons (human and angelic-demonic) cannot be finally-defeated - in the general sense that they are immortal beings that cannot be destroyed; and also that some of these evil immortal beings are committed (permanently) to evil.

But specifically, at the level of individual persons - evil is permanently defeated every time someone chooses to follow Jesus Christ through mortal death, to resurrection into eternal Heavenly life. 

And evil can be weakened, precisely because it inhabits these mortal realms that are dominated by 'entropy' - which means that evil being must 'consume' energies merely to remain as they are; and if starved of these energies they would weaken and weaken, down towards an irreducible state of mere passive existence. 

To rephrase the matter: An evil being (or evil considered en masse) must consume energies in order to maintain itself as it is - thus evil is by nature vampiric, or parasitic. 

The larger and stronger - more powerful - and evil being; the more it must consume; and all growth of power increases its 'appetite'. So long as evil is growing - its strength to feed itself with also increase. But without sufficient consumption; evil will weaken. As the strength of evil diminishes; so its ability to feed itself diminishes - leading to further shrinkage. 

In other words; evil works by positive feedback whereby change leads to further change of the same kind. growth leads to faster growth, weakening leads to faster shrinkage. 

Therefore; successful evil operates to pre-empt its own weakness - and will do so at any cost. An evil being cannot bear even short-term diminution of itself - because it will become self-perpetuating. Each evil being must avoid any diminution of its energy consumption, and will do anything to ensure this continued consumption here-and-now - even when short-term consumption will increase long-term shortage of energies. 

In sum: this is a metaphorical explanation of why Ahrimanic (bureaucratic, long-termist 'lawful') evil will always eventually devolve into Sorathic (spiteful, short-termist, 'chaotic') evil; insofar as it is successful into its goals.  

This is a picture of why evil is insatiable. 

Evil beings must (in some spiritual sense) each continue to consume the energies of damned souls - that is, souls who choose to reject salvation and embrace damnation. 

Evil waxes in strength and scope when (as now, and in recent generations) the supply of damned souls increases - but the greater the powers of evil, the more 'energies' that it needs to maintain itself; which is why there has been a kind of frenzy of evil building-up, on a perceptible timescale. 

(You might imagine the triumph of evil as akin to a 'bubble' phenomenon in economics, a Pyramid or a Ponzi scheme, or some other situation where continued success depends upon an ever increasing supply of victims. The more damned souls that are induced, the greater the energies to sustain growth in damned souls. The demand for damned souls is an exponential growth of demand for energies, but with a much slower growth (and eventually shrinking) in supply of victims - until the supply of victims is insufficient to keep the bubble growing - and the bubble bursts.) 

Thus evil has, overall, become rather like a malignant cancer whose growth consumes its host with increasing rapidity - and will reach a point when the host begins to die, the available energies are less and less adequate to maintain the size and strength of evil.

Then the evil beings (necessarily) begin to contest, and to consume each other - as if one part of a cancer was feeding upon another cancer. 

Of course this lethal trend cannot be described as any kind of 'victory for good'! 

But it does mean that individual souls of Men who look beyond survival in this mortal realm, become relatively stronger as the dominant evil of this world enters this frenzied terminal phase.  

And it means that saved souls do not only save them-selves, but also tend to diminish the strength and scope of evil generally. 

The synergy of evil - "take advantage of the crisis" leads to ever-more chaos

As I have often said; I believe there is a totalitarian evil among the Establishment that seeks a society of omni-surveillance and micro-control of the masses of the world - preferably under some version of a world system (but en route by national systems or their coalitions). 

This can be regarded as a partial evil or "lawful evil" - in that it is long-termist and strategic, and depends on relative-virtues such as obedience, hard-work, cooperation, and a sense of duty (at least among its minions) in order to operate. 

And there are increasingly dominant Agents of Chaos in the Establishment - whose motivations are almost-wholly negative - especially hatred, resentment, and spite; and who seek to inflict suffering, destruction, and death.  

This can be regarded as an extreme or "chaotic" evil - in that it is driven by short-termist and self-centred motivations.

What I seem to have noticed in recent months is that the Agents of Chaos are proving highly successful in causing coups (including externally-fixed "elections"), starting revolutions and engineering international war and global economic and trade collapse...

Which is, of course - at least on the face of things - directly in opposition to the aim of a stable and tyrannical global totalitarianism... 

Yet the totalitarian opposition to war and collapse has been extremely feeble, and diminishingly effective. At best the totalitarians seem able or willing to delay the work of destruction - but never explicitly or strongly oppose it. 

Which raises the question of why the totalitarians are not trying much harder to prevent all their plans and strategies (Great Reset, Agenda 2030, and the Litmus Test issues etc) from being swept aside by chaos? 

One answer, I think, is the progression of evil - the fact that evil is dynamic, always tending to get worse; that evil un-repented feeds upon itself. 

But partly it is due to a mid-set that always tries to exploit a bad situation rather than resist or remedy it.  

When there is an economic, trade, or food collapse - the first instinct of the totalitarian is to take-advantage of the situation. 

The totalitarians therefore believe that any crisis is an opportunity: e.g. an opportunity to get more money (ostensibly for use in implementing "the strategy") - to raise funds from corruption, taxes, tariffs, or simply by having an excuse to devalue the currency or "print money" (aka "inflation"). 

Recently, this has been streamlined into simple confiscation of assets from nations or large organizations, by large financial institutions - which are near the heart of the totalitarian project. 

Or an opportunity to get more power; e.g. by new and more oppressive laws, or to justify emergency "laws" made by diktat. 

This happened by announcement in the media and the police and legal system just following these instructions, in the UK in 2020. At present, the "process" is streamlined to statements made on personal accounts on social media.   

The consequence is that chaos (flouting of morality, breaking of rules, collapse of systems, increase of wars) expands almost-everywhere; without any serious attempt at check by those with power to do so, and with no attempt at reversing it. 

Can globalism be replaced by multiple nationalisms?

Over the past few months, it seems as if we have seen the end of the globalist ideal - at least for the short- and medium-term; since the globalists themselves have (by their 'sanctions') divided the world -- rather than (as looked to be unfolding just a couple of years ago, with the global birdemic-peck strategy) administering the whole planet under a single (denied and mostly not-visible) authority. 

But now the 'debate' is presented as a unipolar versus multipolar world: a single totalitarian system versus several or many national systems. 

I have argued that the unipolar world was never going to happen because those who were implemented it were deliberately destroying the social institutions that would be required to administer it. Godless bureaucracy was generating demonic active-destruction: lawful evil was developing into chaotic evil. 

Given such a background; is this multipolar idea even possible? 

I would say not. The multipolar world is just an intended re-set to an earlier historic way of dividing the world between 'spheres of influence'; but this time the world is in a state of spiritual disintegration and therefore value-inversion. 

Religions used to be synonymous with churches - and insofar as that is still the case we can see that religion has ceased strongly to motivate Men. This is evidenced by the international (and all-religion) church shut-downs in response to the birdemic - which revealed that the churches are subordinate to global-political (leftist, atheist) imperatives. 

Churches have ceased to be possible alternative sources of motivation and guidance. 

I am convinced that without religion as prime motivator and organizer, civilization is bound to collapse, and cannot re-emerge. Yet no major nation in the world is even proposing having religion as the core of their social organization - indeed, this may have become impossible, as a result of the developmental-evolution of human consciousness over recent generations. 

Therefore, my prediction is that any multipolar world attempt will begin to collapse even before its structures have been formed. 

At most the switch from uni- to multi-polarity will be a shift from greater to lesser evil; and as such may somewhat delay and slow the inevitably self-destructive impulses (personally self-destructive, as well as socially) that are a consequence of Godless and irreligious societies. 

In sum: We live in a secular world; and secular institutions, societies and politics are unsustainable and indeed now in the terminal active-suicide phase.

So the world is paralyzed by insoluble demotivation, and perverted by inverted teleologies; such that any re-organization of the nations will not affect the inevitably lethal outcome.  

Afghanistan - Arhimanic mistake or Sorathic strategy? And so what?

The recent business in Afghanistan is something most of us know only via the mass media; which means that the meaning of the events has been distorted in order to manipulate us, and key facts are also certain to have been changed or omitted. 

In what follows I am therefore making the assumption that it is true that the Western powers recently withdrew from Afghanistan in something like the disastrous manner reported (i.e. with extremely rapid collapse of the West funded/ trained state military, uncontrollably overrun by the insurgents, leaving behind significant numbers of US citizens, with colossal capture of US (at least) military materiel, and with a mass population transfer of Afghans (mostly men of military age and experience) into The West.

This has been almost universally regarded as a disaster for the Leadership of the Western Powers, a sudden and catastrophic loss of status as a global power, evidence of a collapse in military effectiveness etc. And ushering in a new period of global 'instability'.

The assumption seems to be that all this happened (assuming it did) against the wishes of the Global Establishment. On those grounds, some Christians regard it as A Good Thing. 

This is what I doubt. Good is not an 'emergent property' from evil motivations!

I see the events as further evidence for the ascendancy of a Sorathic tendency of deliberate destruction, of encouraging chaos; and that this 'strategy' is rapidly taking-over from the Ahrimanic strategy of making the whole world into a 'high-tech', Matrix-like, atheist-leftist-totalitarian media-bureaucratic super-state; where the masses are maintained under close and continual surveillance, and subjected to detailed behavioural control. 

I see this as a further step in the breakdown of the high point of global coordination and consensus which was reached early in 2020, and an increase in the evilness of evil from the domination of 'lawful evil' to more and more 'chaotic' evil of the escalating war of each against all.  

In sum; this 'catastrophe' may indeed both be a genuine catastrophe (i.e. an increase in the domination of evil), and yet it may also be a intended outcome of decisions from within the Western powers to whom the events are 'a catastrophe'. 

As always; even this is (for Christians) no reason at all for increased fear - because fear is a sin, and very obviously what They (the demonic powers) want from us. Nor is it a reason for despair; because Christian hope is indestructible and lies beyond this world and mortal life - and is eternal. 

They also want us to 'think globally', to be deeply interested-in and concerned-by 'foreign policy' and geopolitics; to identify-with nations, large abstract 'humanitarian' causes and commit to ideologies. All these are traps for a Christian. 

Our business is (primarily) with our salvation and theosis, with the love of God then our 'neighbour' which means actual humans beings to whom we have a genuine personal commitment. 

In practice, we cannot help but 'have an opinion' on these mass media 'talking points'; but we need to keep reminding ourselves that all of these (and everything we think we know about them) are primarily attempts to manipulate us in ways that benefit the agendas of one or other of the factions among the evil-serving leadership.   

So - although the above is my interpretation of what has happened, I am not wedded to these conclusions, and my main effort is not to 'care' about matters which I can only be concerned with be falling-into ways of thinking that are specifically designed to corrupt me onto the side of Satan and against God.

My faith should be that God - as the creator - can and will always ensure that I can know from personal experience, by my own discernment and the direct guidance of the Holy Ghost, what I need to know for my task in this mortal life.  

When our faith is solid, we need not deny or defend ourselves against pessimistic projections about what might happen if. 

(Those 'might-happens' picked-out and pushed at us from among the boundless and incalculable possibilities of 'might-happens.)

Our task is with what does happen - All this kind of stuff - as it impinges-upon-us is a challenge from which it is intended we may learn. 

But this learning should be directed at eternal resurrected life; and if it is Not in that context, then we will indeed live in fear and despair, and at the mercies of the worldly-powers. 

Is it A Good Thing that Civilization is purposively destroying itself?

It may be that - belatedly, after a year of its becoming blazingly obvious - more people are noticing that world civilization (led by The West) is purposively destroying itself. Indeed, there is already not much left of active Western Civilization - since it all closed or forbidden. 

This began some decades ago - or maybe longer - as evidenced by chosen sub-replacement fertility (encouraged by the sexual revolution) beginning with the upper classes and spreading downwards to include all but the most feckless and low-intelligence (plus a handful of traditionally-religious groups). 

However, the global coup of early 2020 began actively accelerating (and making compulsory) this process; such that world civilization collapse has (I believe) become inevitable on a short timescale. 

It is being more widely-noticed that the authorities seem happy for this situation to become known explicitly as what it always was: permanent. And plenty of 'normal' folk are 'cool with this' - for one reason or another (related to mass atheism and leftism).  

Given that the dominant Global Establishment have made The System (i.e. the single linked-bureaucracy: all major social institutions including the mass-social media) into a purposive agent of evil - how should we regard this strategic destruction? 

On the one hand, we need to acknowledge that the destruction of the evil-System is being done for even-more-evil reasons. In other words, this represents the take-over of Ahrimanic, partially-good, 'lawful evil' by Sorathic - wholly destructive - 'chaotic evil'. 

On the other hand, we can be confident that God will be making the best of a bad situation through his continuing work of create-ing this world; such that evil may be led into working against-itself. 

What was intended to promote evil may - unintentionally - tend to sabotage evil. 

But (and this is important) evil sabotaging evil does of itself not lead to Good - unless there is Good for it to lead-to.  

It is only by the existence of Good in the world, that God can work to promote further Good. 

In other words, God can take a small amount of Good, and amplify it; but does not (cannot) impose Good where only evil motivations reign. 

Thus there is every reason for the Good (i.e. those on the side of God and divine creation) to remains strong, and hold themselves in readiness. 

When collapse comes it may not (likely it will-not) be reversible; yet there may then be great opportunities for Christians to do great and permanent Good - with the invisible assistance of divine providence.
