Controlled opposition, obviously - And Yet, the jubilation of many/most of those online who oppose totalitarian leftism seems unbounded - even among some serious Christians.

how anyone can get excited, and suspend disbelief, for the second season of this show is beyond me.
This is one of those events where everyone gets wrapped around the a but forget the important uses. Many celebrate the “return to traditional values,”forgetting this remains as CS Lewis characterized it, “enemy controlled territory.” It is also easy to dismiss these election events as just another day in the never ending Ahrimaic saga and forget the choice presented was Donald Trump or Kamala Harris.
I try to remind myself that what is important is to render to God what is God’s and render to Ceaser what is Ceaser’s.

I expected better. But this is (in a much smaller way) another of those life lessons, like 2020; when you realize that things are worse than you thought (or hoped) they were.

Actually, I believe the Ahrimanic era is coming to an end, as I've argued over the past few years (i.e. the Ahrimanic Sorathic theme).
The System is collapsing/ being destroyed. But not for good motivations, nor in a good way.
As will (sigh...) soon become evident.
A friend at work asked me if I was going to celebrate tonight. I had to think a second before I got his meaning. He and a neighbor plan to be whooping it up. I brought up the recent incident where musk had told everyone who has a quibble with the mass importation of replacement workers to "f••• yourself in your face" and what it and trump's non-rebuke of musk for it suggested about where this administration's true sympathies lie. He'd never heard about the incident.

Just like his spring 2020 lockdown, summer 2020 "MLB"-antiracist delirium, and the "Operation Warp Speed" mass peck campaign.
All these were (really deep down, ultimately in the longest term, and from the enlightened perspective) A Good Thing, a Winning strategy (as will - eventually - become evident to those who Believe).

Absolutely concur.
Our Lord gives no indication of a second Incarnation. My personal speculation is there is no longer a Bride of Christ to which He can return. Monarchy and the requisite Mandate of Heaven may return but I doubt it. The collective consciousness-forming is just not there. (It may yet return, after a cataclysm.)
You must live until you die, so you should or may as well take your best shot at temporal Christian thriving, for you and the family which God commands you to nurture.
I am a modern Anglo-American which is a created fact originating in the start of human history. As such I will vote for my tribe and celebrate what victories my tribe can get. God willing whatever descendants I am graced with end up with a tangible Christendom some day.
(I hope this is received in a spirit of dialogue and good faith seeking. I am not out to "prove" anything.)
@A-G - The thing about Controlled Opposition is that it gets people celebrating as a victory of their their tribe, what was actually the victory of somebody else's tribe. Exactly that.
